Formed at Bristol University in October 2009, Maps and Legends have gone from strength to strength over the past year, playing in Bristol's best venues and attracting large audiences with their unique brand of rock.
Despite being unsigned, the band are accumulating a fan base that grows by the day, who are attracted to their epic live sound, courtesy of the soaring voice of Jack Hobbs, the lead guitar trickery of Gareth Hughes and formidable rhythmic assault of Aj Young and George Paton.
The indie/alternative rock band's 4 members, all aged 21 or under, have produced a debut EP showcasing 6 tracks. The EP is cuurently available to buy from iTunes and Amazon MP3 or directly from the band.
3 tracks from their EP have been played on Radio 6 Introducing and they have also received airplay on Radio Bristol Introducing.
They have gigged in Bristol at the Fleece (Dot to Dot Festival 2010), the Tunnels, the Louisiana and the Colston Hall “H” Bar (acoustic set), amongst many other venues.
Maps and Legends were recently featured on Johnners Live Local Showcase on Somer Valley FM and their acoustic set will feature on 31st March.
